Guess the Mystery Person
A $50 cash prize will be awarded to the first person who correctly guesses the identity of the 2008 mystery king or queen. Last year's mystery person was Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center CEO Jim Wathen.
The mystery person will be seen for the first time at the festival queen's coronation Friday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Sprague Community Theater in City Park. The mystery person will also ride in the festival Grand Parade beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The king or queen will be unveiled during halftime of the Cranberry Bowl, which begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Tiger Field.
Forms and a box for entries will be available at each event so people can submit their guesses as to the mystery person's identity. Don't forget to put the time!
