Bandon Lions Barbecue at Barn
The Bandon Lions invite the public to take a break from Cranberry Festival activities Saturday to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal featuring barbecued steak with baked beans, cole slaw and a dinner roll.
The popular barbecue will be held in The Barn at City Park on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until the food runs out. The Lions also will serve ice cream and root beer floats.
Tickets are $10 ($9 if purchased in advance). Soft drinks will be available.
Funds raised by the Bandon Lions' projects are used for charitable gifting programs.
Active in the community for 58 years, the Lions pay for eyeglasses and offer vision screening to students at Ocean Crest Elementary School. The club has given thousands of dollars in college scholarships to Bandon High School students and has funded the yearly Mobile Health Screening Unit and the Good Neighbors program.
