Old Town, Harbortown Center
Mark Madden will perform Saturday and Sunday on the Old Town stage on Second Street Southeast between Chicago and Delaware avenues. Special guest performances also will be given throughout the day by competitors from the South Coast Has Talent competition.
The music will begin after the parade on Saturday and run until 5 p.m. Sunday's show will run from noon to 4 p.m. Covered seating and beer provided by McFarlin's and Oregon wines will be available for purchase. There is no admission charge.
Saturday night, festival organizers are trying something new: a Cranberry Festival dance.
The dance will be held at the Harbortown Events Center for the 21 and older crowd, as alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. œBent," a six-piece classic rock-and-roll band from Eugene will perform. The band plays music from the 1970s to the present, according to fesitval organizers. Cover charge is $10 and the music begins at 8:30 p.m.
œIt should be a lot of fun," said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julie Miller. œIt gives people something to do the night of the festival and we scheduled it after the football game so everyone who wants to can make it."
